B.S. L 119 Heat Treatments
- The castings and test sample shall be heat treated together as follows: Solution treat at temperature of 540 +/- 5°C for not less than 5h; Quench into boiling water or oil at a temperature of 80°C or in a polymer quenchant at a temperature not greater than 30°C; Artificially age by heating at a temperature of 215 +/- 5°C for 12h to 16h; Cooling in the air.
