PROPRIETARY INCONEL alloy N06230 Heat Treatments
- It is normally used in the solution-annealed condition. This provides a coarse grain structure that results in optimum creep-rupture strength. It also provides the best bend ductility at room temperature. Solution annealing is normally performed at 1175 to 1230°C (2150 to 2250°F) for a time commensurate with section size, followed by water quenching or rapid air cooling.
