PROPRIETARY VDM alloy 188 Heat Treatments
- May be hot-worked at 1200-1000°C (2190-1830°F) with water quenching or as fast as possible. Solution annealing at 1180-1220°C (2150-2230°F), preferably at 1190°C (2175°F). Water quenching or rapid air cooling is recommended.
