  • Forging: Rough: 1038-1066°C (1900-1950°F), Finish: 954-982°C (1750-1800°F)
    Stress relief annealed: 482-649°C (900-1200°F), 1 - 4hrs, air cooled
    Mill Annealed: 704-843°C (1300-1550°F), air cooled
    Solution Treatment: 15-30°C (25-50°F) below beta transus, 1hr, water quenched
    Aged: 538-593°C (1000-1100°F), 8hrs, air cooled

    Heat treatments for sheet:
    Duplex annealed (DA):
    1st stage - 900°C (1650°F), air cooled
    2nd stage - 785°C (1450°F), air cooled
    Triplex Annealed (TA):
    1st stage - 900°C (1650°F), 2 hrs, air cooled,
    2nd stage - 785°C (1450°F), air cooled,
    3rd stage - 595°C (1100°F), 2 hrs, air cooled

    Heat treatments for bars and forgings:
    Sections < 63.5 mm
    Annealed - 955°C (1750°F), 1h, air cooled
    Stabilization - 595°C (1100°F), 8h, air cooled
    Sections > 63.5 mm
    Annealed - 900°C (1650°F), 1h, air cooled
    Stabilization - 595°C (1100°F), 8h, air cooled

    Heat treated: 970°C (1778°F)/ 1h/ AC + 595°C (1100°F)/ 8h/ AC
