Sand Castings
Precipitation Heat Treated at 99 ± 6°C (210 ± 10°F), 8 hours.
Permanent Mold Castings
Precipitation Heat Treated at 99 ± 6°C (210 ± 10°F), 8 hours.
Temper T7
Sand Castings
Solution Heat Treated(1) at 532 ± 6°C (990 ± 10°F), 8-16 hours;
Precipitation Heat Treated at 177 ± 6°C (350 ± 10°F), 4-10 hours.
Permanent Mold Castings
Solution Heat Treated(1) at 532 ± 6°C (990 ± 10°F), 8-10 hours;
Precipitation Heat Treated at 177 ± 6°C (350 ± 10°F), 4-10 hours.
(1) Quench in water at 65 to 100°C (150 to 212°F) except as noted.
