SAE 50Ni - 50Fe Heat Treatments

  • Annealed by heating to 1177 ± 14°C (2150 ± 25 °F) in a dry hydrogen atmosphere having a dew point of -51°C (-60°F) or lower, holding at heat for 4 ± 0.25 hours, and cooling in a non-contaminating atmosphere at a rate not greater than 56°C (100°F) per hour to 593°C (1100°F) or lower, unless another cooling rate is recommended by the alloy producer.
