SAE Monel 400 Heat Treatments


  • Bars shall be cold drawn and stress relieved by heating to a temperature within the range 538 to 593°C (1000 to 1100°F), holding at the selected temperature within ±14°C (±25°F) for 1 hour ± 0.25 hour, and cooling at a rate equivalent to cooling in air.
