SAE Incoloy 901 Heat Treatments
- Material condition: 1093°C; 788°C and 718°C.
- Solution heat treatment: Heat to a temperature within the range 1066 to 1093°C (1950 to 2000°F), hold at the selected temperature within ±14°C (±25°F) for not less than 1 hour, and cool at a rate equivalent to an air cool or faster.
Stabilization heat treatment: Heat to a temperature within the range 774 to 802°C (1425 to 1475°F), hold at the selected temperature within ±8°C (±15°F) for 2 to 4 hours, and cool at a rate equivalent to an air cool or faster.
Precipitation heat treatment: Heat to a temperature within the range 704 to 746°C (1300 to 1375°F), hold at the selected temperature within ±8°C (±15°F) for 24 ± 1 hours, and cool at any convenient rate.
