SAE 7855 Heat Treatments
- Product will be hot-cold worked, descaled, and recrystallized or, if specified, hot-cold worked, descaled, recrystallized, and centerless ground;
Recrystallization at a temperature between 1204 and 1316°C (2200 and 2400°F) under vacuum (less than 0.1 µm of mercury) or inert atmosphere or as agreed upon by purchaser and vendor.
