GB TB6 Heat Treatments
- Heat treated: 740-770°C, insulation 2 h, water cooling; 510-540°C, insulation 8 h, air cooling; The first Solution temperature is allowed to be adjusted in the range of 30-60°C below the transformation temperature.
- Stress relief annealing: from 675 to 705°C, holding time 30 to 60 min, furnace or air cooling or inert atmosphere.
Forged bars, castings: Solution treated in the range 705-775°C/60-120 min, water quenching. Air cooling is allowed when d<= 25 mm.
Solution heat treatment: Aging in the range 480-620°C/8-10h, than cooling in air or furnace or inert atmosphere.
