GB TB5 Heat Treatments
- Stress relief annealing: from 680 to 710°C, holding time 30 to 60 min, furnace or air cooling or inert atmosphere.
Plates: Solution treated in the range 760-815°C/2-30 min, air cooling or water quenching.
Forged bars, castings: Solution treated in the range 760-815°C/20-90 min, air cooling or water quenching.
Solution heat treatment: Aging in the range 480-675°C/2-24h, than cooling in air or furnace or inert atmosphere.
