Heat Treatments
- 500°C <= T <= 510°C / WQ T <= 40°C; +1% <= controlled stretched <= 3%; +155°C<= T <= 165°C / 12h <= t <= 20h or 170°C<= T <= 180°C / 5h <= t <= 12h
- T6: heat treating at 500 to 510°C, followed by water quenching to a temperature not exceeding 40°C. Artificially aging either at 157 to 163°C for 18 to 22 hours, or at 170 to 180°C for 7 to 12 hours.<br>T4: heat treating at 500 to 510°C, followed by water quenching to a temperature not exceeding 40°C. After quenching, naturally aging at ambient temperature for a minimum of 5 days.<br>T62: heat treating at 500 to 510°C, followed by water quenching to a temperature not exceeding 40°C. Artificially aging either at 157 to 163°C for 18 to 22 hours, or at 170 to 180°C for 7 to 12 hours.
