MIL Inconel X Heat Treatments
- Solution treatment: Heating at 1149°+/- 4°C and holding at that temp. for 2 to 4h, followed by air cooling; Solution treatment plus high-temperature aging: Heating to 843°+/-4°C and holding at that temperature for 24h, air cooling; Full heat treatment: Heating to 704°+/-4°C and holding at that temperature for 20h, followed by air cooling. Where convenient, air cooling after the 843°C aging treatment may be omitted, and the furnace cooled to 704°C for the final aging treatment. Provided cooling from 815°C to 704°C does not exceed 2h.
