MIL RN64 Heat Treatments
- Charge welded plate into a furnace which has been preheated to 788°C (1450°F), bring to a steady state and hold at temperature for 30 min and air cool or water quench. Age harden at 593°C +/- 4°C (1100 +/- 25°F) for 16 hours and furnace at approximately 25°F per down to 482°C (900°F) and air cool to room temperature.
