UNI P-AlCu4MgMnSi Heat Treatments
- O: Annealing at 390-420°C for 1-3h with subsequent slow cooling in the oven (max. 25°C/ h up to 200°C).
T4: Hardening in water (max. 40°C) at 495-505°C, after preheating for 0.5-2h at steady state followed by natural aging (max. 50°C) for at least 96h. - R: Complete annealing at 390 - 420 °C for 2 - 4 hours with slow cooling in oven (max 10°C/h until 200 °C). TN: Water quenching (10 - 30°C) from 485 - 505°C, after preheating for 0.5 - 1 hour in salt-bath; natural ageing (max 50°C) for 48 - 96 hours; THN: as per TN, with ironing after quenching for a slight hardening; Hot working range: 300 - 460°C.
