UNI P-AlCu4.5MgMn Heat Treatments
- R: Complete annealing at 390 - 420 °C for 2 - 4 hours with slow cooling in oven (max 20°C/h until 250 °C). TA 14: Water quenching (10 - 30°C) from 485 - 500°C, after preheating for 0.5 - 1 hour in salt bath; artificial ageing at 185 - 195°C for 8 - 12 hours; TN: Water quenching (10 - 30°C) from 485 - 500°C, after preheating for 0.5 - 1 hour in salt bath; natural ageing (max 50°C) for 48 - 96 hours; THN: As per TN, with ironing after tempering that produces a slight hardening; TH 06 N: As per TN, with hardening H 06 after tempering; Hot working range: 300 - 460°C.
