SAE Ti-6Al-2Cb-1Ta-0.8Mo Heat Treatments
- Annealing shall consist of soaking for 2h ± 15 minutes at 704°C (1300°F) and air or furnace cooling.
Stress realiving shall consist of soaking for 2h ± 15 minutes at 593°C (1100°F) and air or furnace cooling. - Stress relief temperature 540-650°C (100-1200°F) for 15-60 minutes
Annealing temperature for sheet, strip and plate: 790-900°C (1450-1650°F) for 30-120 minutes, air cool or slower; Bars and forgings: 790-900°C (1450-1650°F) for 1-2h, air cool or slower
