SAE Ti-6Al-6V-2Sn Heat Treatments
- Annealed by heating to 704-788°C (1300-1450°F), holding at heat for 1 to 2 hours, and cooling as required.
- Annealed by heating to a temperature within the range 704 to 816°C (1300 to 1500°F), holding at the selected temperature within ± 14°C (± 25°F) for a time commensuate with the section thickness, the heating equipment, and procedure used, and cooling at a rate that will produce product meeting the requirements. After heating in air to any temperature up to 538°C ± 14°C (1000°F ± 25°F ), holding at heat for 20 ± 2 minutes, cooling in air, and descaling.
