CSN AlZn4Mg1 Heat Treatments
- Annealing at 320 to 400°C, remain at temperature for 16 hours then cooling:
a) air: The thus obtained soft state is not permanent, after a period of gradual increase in strength occurs.
b) to a temperature of 240°C and remain at this temperature for about 2h, then cool in air. Thus obtained soft state is permanent.
Solution annealing at 440 to 500°C, 15-30 min remain on temperature (according to the wall thickness) wall thickness or diameter of the rods or bars. For wt <=50mm, cooling in air and for wt > 50 mm cool in a current of air or submerged in water.
Hot curing at 140°C, 18-24h (performs the first 4 days after solution annealing).
Thermoforming at 440 to 480°C.
