IS 24345 Clade Heat Treatments
- Type I: a) Solution-treat by heating at a temperature of 505 +/- 5 °C and quench in water at a temperature not exceeding 40 °C. b) Age at room temperature for not less than 48 hours. Type II: a) Solution-treat by heating at a temperature of 505 +/- 5 °C and quench in water at a temperature not exceeding 40 °C. b) Precipitation-treat by heating for requisite period (T=165°C 12 - 18 h; T=175°C 9 - 12 h; T=185°C 3 - 6 h).
