GB TB2 Heat Treatments
- Solution treated: 750°C - 850°C, holding for 10 min - 30 min., air or water cooling; Ageing: 450°C - 550°C, holding for 8h - 24h, air cooling.
- Stress relief annealing: from 650 to 700°C, holding time 30 to 60 min, furnace or air cooling or inert atmosphere.
Plates: Solution treated in the range 750-800°C/2-30 min, air cooling or water quenching.
Forged bars, castings: Solution treated in the range 750-800°C/10-30 min, air cooling or water quenching.
Solution heat treatment: Aging in the range 450-550°C/8-24h, than cooling in air or furnace or inert atmosphere.
