SAE Hastelloy W Heat Treatments
- Material condition: 1093°C; 704°C
- Solution heat treated: Heating to 1177 ± 14°C (2150 ± 25°F), holding at heat for a time commensurate with section thickness but not less than 20 minutes, and cooling at a rate equivalent to a rapid air cool or faster.
Heat treatment for tensile properties at 816°C: Heating to 816 ± 3°C (1500 ± 5°F), holding at heat for 20 to 30 minutes before testing, and testing at 816 ± 3°C (1500 ± 5°F).
