ASME SB-150 C63200 Heat Treatments


  • Heat to 850°C (1550°F) minimum for 1 h minimum at temperature and quench in water or other suitable medium.
    Temper anneal at 700 ± 15°C (1300 ± 25°F) for 3 to 9 h at temperature as required to obtain desired mechanical properties. Heat treatment is not mandatory for sections that exceed 300 mm (12 in) in diameter or thickness.
