- Quenching: 1025 ± 25°C, water quench or air cool (depending on the degree of cold work applied to the product and the type of furnace employed in the heat treatment, the quenching temperature can vary to a considerable extent to enable the properties to be achieved).
In the case where the heat treatment is performed in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the given temperature range, or even a temperature in excess of it, is normally preferred.
