B.S. HR 3 Heat Treatments
- Delivery condition for Bars and extruded sections for machining (Annealed) treated at θ = (1150 ±10) °C / t = 4 h / AC + θ = (1050 ±10) °C / t = 16 h / AC; Use condition for Bars and extruded sections for machining: Solution treated + precipitation treated (delivery condition + θ = (850 ±10) °C / t = 16 h / AC); Delivery = use condition for Extruded sections for subsequent forming (Softened) treated at θ = (1150 ±10) °C / t <= 30 min / rapid cool; Delivery = use condition for Billets and bars for forging (Hot or cold worked and subsequently machined or ground), Delivery condition for Forgings (Solution treated) treated at θ = (1150 ±10) °C / t = 4 h / AC + θ = (1050 ±10) °C / t = 16 h / AC; Use condition for Forgings: Solution treated + precipitation treated (delivery condition + θ = (850 ±10) °C / t = 16 h / AC).
