B.S. HR 2 Heat Treatments
- Bars and extruded sections for machining (HR 2A) Delivery = Use condition - Solution treated: Θ = (1 080 ±10) °C / t = 8 h / AC or OQ or WQ. Use condition, Solution treated + precipitation treated: Delivery condition + Θ = (700 ±10) °C / t = 16 h / AC; Extruded sections for subsequent forming (HR 2B) Delivery = Use condition - Softened: Θ = (1 080 ±10) °C / t G 30 min / WQ. Billets and bars for forging (HR 2C) - Solution treated + precipitation treated: Θ = (1 080 ±10) °C / t = 8 h / AC or OQ or WQ + Θ = (700 ±10) °C / t = 16 h / AC; Forgings (HR 2D) Delivery condition - Solution treated: Θ = (1 080 ±10) °C / t = 8 h / AC or OQ or WQ. Use condition - Solution treated + precipitation treated: Delivery condition + Θ = (700 ±10) °C / t = 16 h / AC.
