B.S. TA40 Heat Treatments
- θ = (900 ±10) °C / t = 1 h per 25 mm (>= 20 min) / AC +θ = (500 ±5) °C / t = 24 h / AC
- Heat at a temperature of 900 ± 10°C and hold for 1h per 25 mm of section, with a minimum of 20 min. Cool in air. Heat at a temperature of 500 ± 5°C and hold for 24h. Cool in air.
