SAE 7076 Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Soak for 2 to 3 hours at 404°C (760°F ); cool to 204°C (400°F) or lower, reheat to 232°C (450°F), and soak for 4 hours; cooling rate optional.
Solution heat treating temperature (for forging): 454-488°C (850- 910°F) , followed by an air cool and quenched.
