SAE 5052 Heat Treatments
- Stabilization: This product is normally treated at a temperature between 121°C and 177°C (250°F and 350°F) after cold reduction to minimize room temperature softening.
- Full anneal: At 333-349°C, soaking time is minimum 0.5h (soak times listed are for up to 13 mm maximum thickness. Add 0.5 hour for each additional 13 mm of product or nested stack thickness or fraction thereof over 13 mm), cooling in air.
