SAE 2090 Heat Treatments
- Annealing: Soak for 2 to 3 hours at 404°C (760°F); cool at rate of 28°C (50°F) per hour or slower to 260°C (500°F ); further cooling rate optional.
Solution heat treating temperature (for extrusion): 532-543°C (990-1010°F) , followed by an air cool and quenched.
Solution heat treating temperature (for sheet): 524-538°C (975-1000°F) , followed by an air cool and quenched.
