SS Al-Zn5 Mg Heat Treatments
- The alloy does not need to be subjected to special dissolution treatment, as this process proceeds during the cooling after casting.
Cold aging: about 20°C, holding time about 30 days.
There is a high risk of heat cracking occurring in and adjacent to a weld as it cools. After welding, the material should therefore cool slowly.
Operating temperature at 200-300°C, regardless of the welding method.
