B.S. L 52 Heat Treatments
- Heat at a temperature between 520°C and 540°C for not less than 4h. Quench in water at a temperature between 80°C and 100°C, in oil or in an air blast. Re-heat in one of the following ways:
Temperature: 150-180°C;
Time at temperature: 8-24h.
Temperature: 195-205°C;
Time at temperature: 2-5h.
Cool in air or quench in water.
