IS 446 Heat Treatments
- Solution annealed at 800 to 900°C - If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred, or even exceeded;
Cooling in air - Cooling sufficiently rapidly in order to avoid precipitation - Annealing at 800 - 860°C, air cooling or water quenching.
