GOST S32100 Heat Treatments
- Annealed at > 1040°C, quenching in water or accelerated cooling by other means. The cooling rate must be sufficient to prevent re-deposition of carbides. It is permissible not to carry out final heat treatment of pipes subjected to solid solution heat treatment.
Solution annealing at temperatures above 1065°C may degrade the intergranular corrosion resistance after further exposure to sensitizing conditions. At customer's request, solution annealing at high temperatures may be followed by re-annealing or stabilization at a lower temperature. - ≥ 1040°C, quenching in water or accelerated cooling by other means;
Heat treatment at temperatures above 1065°C may impair their resistance to intercrystalline corrosion.
