IS X15Cr25Ni21Si Heat Treatments
- Solution annealed at 1 020 to 1 120°C - If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred, or even exceeded;
Cooling in water, air - Cooling sufficiently rapidly in order to avoid the occurrence of intergranular corrosion as defined in IS 10461 (Part 2). - Solution annealing at 1000 - 1120°C, air cooling or water quenching.
