VdTÜV SAVE12AD Gr. 93 Heat Treatments

  • Hardening at 1150°C, cooling in air.
    Tempering at 730°C to 780°C, holding at least 60 minutes, cooling in still air.
    The material can be cold and hot formed.
    Hot forming should be carried out in the range 1200°C to 850°C.
    For cold-bent pipes with an outside diameter < 76.1 mm, no heat treatment is required for Rm/Da > 1.8. If Rm/Da < 1.8, stress relief annealing must be carried out.
    For cold-bent pipes with an outside diameter > 76.1 mm, no heat treatment is required for Rm/Da > 3. If Rm/Da < 3, stress relief annealing must be carried out.
