PROPRIETARY Ovako 6502 Heat Treatments
- Hot forging: 880-1050°C, cooling in air
Soft annealing: 650-700°C, cooling slowly (15°C/h) until 600°C
Stress relieve annealing: 450-650°C (appr. 50°C under tempering temperature), cooling in air
Hardening: 820-850°C, qenching in oil
Tempering: 540-680°C, cooling in air
