VdTÜV 4 LM Heat Treatments
- Quenching and tempering:
Hardening at 900-950°C, holding time according to DIN 17 014 Part 1, minimum 20 min, quenching in water.
Tempering at 640-690°C, holding time according to DIN17 014 Part 1, minimum 30 min, cooling in still air.
Stress relieving at 550-600°C, holding time according to DIN 17 014 Part 1, minimum 60 min, cooling in still air. The manufacturer usually carries out a stress-relief annealing of the pipes after they have been straightened at 580 ± 15°C.
