VdTÜV A 350 LF 2 Heat Treatments
- Hardened at 880-940°C after reaching the temperature in the entire cross-section, quenched in water or oil. Tempered at 590°-670°C, holding time at least 30 minutes, cooled down in still air. Normalized at 880-920°C, after reaching the temperature in the entire cross-section, cooled down in still air. Stress relief annealed at 530-570°C, holding time at least 30 minutes, but generally a maximum of 150 minutes in the case of multiple annealings. If the holding time exceeds 90 minutes, the lower limit of the temperature range should be aimed for, cooled down in still air or in the oven.
