ACI A487 CA-15 Heat Treatments
- Heat treated (Type 1): Air cooled from 982°C (1800°F); Tempered at 316°C (600°F).
Heat treated (Type 2): Air cooled from 982°C (1800°F); Tempered at 593°C (1100°F).
Heat treated (Type 3): Air cooled from 982°C (1800°F); Tempered at 649°C (1200°F).
Heat treated (Type 4): Air cooled from 982°C (1800°F); Tempered at 760°C (1400°F).
Annealed at 788 - 899°C (1450 - 1650°F); Hardened at 982 - 1010°C (1800 - 1850°F); Tempered at max. 316°C (600°F) or 593 - 816°C (1100 - 1500°F).
