DTD 5212 Heat Treatments
- Solution treatment: Heat at 810-830°C for 30-60 minutes per 25 mm of section or not less than 30 minutes whichever is greater and cool in air.
Final heat treatment: Marage by heating at 475-495°C for not less than 3 hours and cool in air. The steel shall not be subjected to full heat treatment more than three times.
