GB ZG18CrMoV Heat Treatments
- Quenched and tempered (+QT): Quenched at 920 to 960°C and Tempered at 680 to 740°C
- Normalized or quenched at 920-960°C, tempered at 680-740°C.
The holding time for normalizing or quenching heating should be calculated based on the maximum wall thickness of the casting loaded in the furnace. When the thickness is less than or equal to 25 mm, the holding time shall not be less than 1 hour. For every 25 mm increase in wall thickness, the holding time shall increase by 1 hour.
