ASTM A 335 Grade P93 Heat Treatments
- Normalized in range 1070 - 1170°C (1960 - 2140°F) and tempered in range 750 - 790°C (1380 - 1455°F).
It is recommended that the temperature for tempering should be at least 50°C (100°F) above the intended service temperature; consequently, the purchaser should advise the manufacturer if the service temperature is to be over 600°C (1100°F).
After weld repair, shall be heat treated at 730 - 790°C (1350 - 1455°F).
