AIR FE-PM 38 Heat Treatments
- Hardened and tempered (I): Heated at 1170°C, oil quenched min. 30 minutes and double tempered at 610°C, air cooled, 2h and 600 to 660°C, air cooled, 2h. The second income temperature is adjusted in the range 600-660°C depending on the characteristics of the casting.
Annealed at 730°C to 790°C, air cooled.
Hardened and tempered (II); Heated at 1120 to 1170°C, oil quenched and double tempered at 600 to 650°C, air cooled.
Hardened and tempered (III); Heated at 1120 to 1170°C, oil quenched (parts are cooled in air) and tempered at 580 to 610°C, air cooled, 5 hours. Treated at -70 to -80°C/ 15 min, heated at 620 to 650°C, air cooled, 5h.
