NB P22 Heat Treatments
- Normalizing and tempering of steel pipes:
For wall thickness =<30mm, normalizing temperature 900 to 960°C and tempering temperature 700°C to 750°C.
For wall thickness > 30mm steel tube, quenching plus tempering or normalizing and tempering: quenching temperature not lower than 900°C, tempering temperature 700°C to 750°C. Normalizing temperature at 900 to 960°C, tempering temperature at 700°C-750°C, but quick cooling after normalizing.
