NB P12 Heat Treatments


  • Normalizing and tempering of steel pipes:
    For wall thickness =<30mm, normalizing temperature 900 to 960°C and tempering temperature 680°C to 730°C.
    For wall thickness > 30mm steel tube, quenching plus tempering or normalizing and tempering: quenching temperature not lower than 900°C, tempering temperature 680°C to 730°C. Normalizing temperature at 900 to 960°C, tempering temperature at 680°C-730°C, but quick cooling after normalizing.
