ASME 1.4482 Heat Treatments
- Hot forming at 1150 to 950°C, air cooling
Solution annealing (+AT) at 950 to 1050°C, air or water cooling (cooling sufficiently rapidly in order to avoid precipitation). If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred or even exceeded.
Temperatures of solution annealing shall be agreed for simulated heat-treated test pieces. - Hot forming: 1150 to 950°C, air cooling; Solution annealing (+AT): 900 to 1050°C, water or air cooling.
