ASME X2CrNiMnMoCuN24-4-3-2 Heat Treatments
- Hot forming at 1150 to 900°C, air cooling
Solution annealing (+AT) at 1000 to 1150°C, air or water cooling (cooling sufficiently rapidly in order to avoid precipitation). If heat treatment is carried out in a continuous furnace, the upper part of the range specified is usually preferred or even exceeded.
Temperatures of solution annealing shall be agreed for simulated heat-treated test pieces - Hot working (air cooling): 1150-900°C; +AT - Solution annealing (air or water cooling): 1000-1150°C.
