ASME 1.7366 Heat Treatments
- Annealed (+A): Austenitizing or solution annealing at 850 - 880°C, cooling in furnace.
Normalized and tempered (+NT) or Quenched and tempered (+QT): Austenitizing or solution annealing at 925 - 975°C, cooling in air, polymer or oil. Tempering at 690 - 750°C, cooling in air or furnace.
