PROPRIETARY SIRAPID 3255 Heat Treatments
- Soft Annealing: Heat to 820 - 850°C, cool slowly in furnace to 550°C then air. Stress Relieving: should be carried out by heating to 600 - 650°C, holding for one hour at heat, followed by air cooling. Hardening: Harden from a temperature of 1260 - 1290°C followed by oil, air quenching or warm bath at 550°C. Tempering: 2x 560 - 580°C.
